SOCIAL/HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
Mission Statement:
To mission of the Social Committee is to nurture warm, supportive friendship and healthy relationships among church members.

Responsibilities:
The social committee performs the following duties, among others:
- Promoting and facilitating social fellowship among church members.
- Organizing different social and recreational activities for church members, including picnics, banquets, bonfire parties, etc
- Caring for one another including spiritual nurturing through Bible study and prayer in order to be able to really love and care for others.
- Serving as hosts and hostesses for different Church events.

Hospitality Committee
The mission of the Hospitality Committee is to show God's love to the Westmount members and visitors and fostering true Christian hospitality grounded in God-given ability to love and care for others.

Responsibilities:
- Taking care of visitors, including ushering them into the church, ensuring that visitors are greeted with a warm hug and smile, providing them a hospitality present or Sabbath meal and doing other things in order to make them feel cared for.
- Caring for new members to ensure that they find their niche and integrate well in the fellowship of the church, including through special fellowship dinners for new members, visitation and/ or the assignment of a special friend or "spiritual helper."
- Promoting and supporting various membership building activities.
- Keeping the pastoral staff abreast of sick or missing members.
