Untitled DocumentTHE DEACONS The deacons are responsible for assisting with running of Church services, visiting of members, caring for the sick and the maintenance of church property. Their specific duties include: - Providing for the safety, comfort and care of those in God's house and ensuring the security of the Church property, including by: opening and locking the church building.
- Assisting with the services and meetings of the church, including: operation of the audio-visual system, collection of offerings.
- Assisting with Communion Service, including: preparing towels, basins, water, etc for use in the ordinance of humility and serving the bread and wine.
- Assisting with the baptism service, including: preparing the baptismal pool, assist male candidates and doing the physical activities related to the service.
- Visiting church members in their homes, in particular the shut-ins.
- Ensuring proper care and upkeep of church property, including minor repairs to the church facility.
- Coordination of all maintenance and cleaning duties.
- Assisting with request from the poor and homeless.

Richard Steele | THE DEACONESSES The Deaconesses are responsible for performing the following duties, among other things: - Pastoral care and assistance during the worship services and meetings, including collection of offerings.
- Assisting with Communion service, including: preparing the bread and wine, placing the communion table and disposal of the remaining bread and wine.
- Assisting with the baptism service, including: assisting the female candidates, prepare the robes for the candidates and laundering and storing the robes, towels, etc., after the ceremony.
- Visitation of Members
- Welcoming and building relationships with new believers and members.
- Caring for the sick and shut-ins, the poor and the needy
- Providing hospitality and lending emotional support.
- Counseling teenagers (issues such as teen pregnancy).
- Visiting with, and preparing food for, the sick and/or bereaved families.
