COMMUNITY SERVICES
Each year, the Community Services Department assists the homeless, disaster victims and other needy people in and around Montreal by giving them clothing, personal hygiene kits, food baskets and other basic supplies. Besides material aid, the department also provides services including: visitations to seniors, the sick and the bereaved; adult education; homemaking, home nursing; counseling, and other services.

Responsibilities:
- Identifying the needs of the community and mobilizing a response to specific identified needs and social concerns, including encouraging and mobilizing the church members to act and show compassion to those in need.
- Organizing specific community programs, including raising resources for disaster relief programs and other social action projects (e.g. aid for the poor, assisting the hungry and homeless, literacy and employment assistance, and inner city programs).
- Collaboraring with other organizations offering community services
- Participating in the annual in-gathering appeal is a major source of funds for ADRA and other adventist community services
Planned Activities for 2006-2007
- Gather and distribute food, clothing and other supplies to those in need - the poor, homeless and less fortunate.
- Organize community outreach activities
